Meet Emma
Emma is a dedicated yoga teacher and student with six years of experience teaching, twenty years of yoga practice and thousands of hours of training. Her teaching style is intentional, strong, and dynamic, emphasising the connection between breath, body, community, and self. Previous yoga students have described her classes as empowering, educational, and above all else fun. Emma is interested in trauma informed yoga, LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the yogic space, and breaking down of the dangerous and superficial modern wellness culture.
A lifelong student of yoga, Emma honors the deep complexities of modern practice while striving to acknowledge and engage with its traditional roots in a world shaped by colonialism, patriarchy, and capitalism.Beyond yoga, she works in gender-based violence, law, and First Nations communities, and is deeply committed to fostering supportive ecosystems of care, community, and joy.
Off the mat, Emma enjoys swimming in the Res, bushwalking with her dog Bunny, dancing, and unwinding with reality TV alongside her beloved wife.
